2018 New Year's MyZone Challenge!

To get you back in gear after the holidays, we'll be using our new MyZone heart rate tracking system to start a MEPs challenge!  MEPs are "MyZone Effort Points" and the more work you do, the more points you earn.  This is great for all fitness levels, because you will be earning points based on how long you're working in your personal effort zones... how fast you move or how many reps you crank out doesn't matter!

Here's how it works: you'll wear your MyZone belt during your workouts inside and outside of the gym (Monroe Bootcampers, can participate too!).  For every minute your heart rate is in the blue zone  (60-69% of your max) you'll earn 2 MEPs.  The green zone (70-79%) earns you 3 MEPs per minute, while the yellow (80-89%) and red (90-100%) zones earn a whopping 4 MEPs per minute.

The World Health Organization recommends that everyone earn a minimum of 1300 MEPs per month for maximum health.  Once you hit that milestone 1300 MEP minimum in January (known as the health hurdle), your name will be entered into a drawing for a prize pack with some cool stuff.  If you hit the "basic" 2000 MEPs milestone, you'll get a second entry.  The "intermediate" goal of 3000 MEPs earns a third entry, and the "performance" 4000 MEPs milestone earns a fourth entry.  The same happens in February- 1 entry for 1300 MEPs, 2 for 2000 MEPs, 3 for 3000, and 4 for 4000.

You are what you repeatedly do, and the MyZone system will hold you accountable and help you remain consistent in your workouts!
